Quality bilingual child care for your child's growth.
Family environments create comfortable and structured learning experiences for children, and our objective at Small Wonders is to be an extension of the foundation being laid at home. Small Wonders is co-owned and run by two longtime Montgomery County Public Schools educators with several decades of experience in the field. The two met and got married while teaching in MCPS. They chose to continue sharing their love of teaching in 1999, by buying Small Wonders Child Care.
Small Wonders Child Care is a year-round, family-owned and operated center in Silver Spring, Maryland. We have proudly been part of the community for more than two decades. We care for children as young as 8 weeks through 11 years old, including children with special needs. Additionally, we offer preschool, full-time child care, Summer Camp, and before and after school care for children up to 11 years old. We provide meals and offer a peanut and tree nut-free environment.
During their years of teaching, one of the owners was heavily involved in establishing and implementing English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), a program that empowers students to master academic English to thrive in school, college, careers, and as global citizens. As such, they thought it important for our students to have the opportunity to learn another language. Small Wonders is a bilingual learning atmosphere, with ownership, management, and staff able to communicate and understand both English and Spanish.
With history deeply rooted in education, Small Wonders Child Care is more than a business—we welcome children into our family and prepare them to excel at the next level and beyond.
Our classes are taught by dedicated and experienced educators who are CDA (Child Development Associate) certified. Small Wonders teachers pursue further education annually to strengthen their expertise in the field. Additionally, they are trained and qualified to administer First Aid and CPR on infant-aged children up to adults. Infrequent staff turnover at Small Wonders ensures familiarity and comfort between your children and their teachers.
We embrace a learning environment that will prepare our little ones to be change leaders in their communities. Our classes incorporate traditional learning styles as well as hands-on experiences paired with play learning which help students develop a love for the learning process.
Small Wonders Child Care is more than a business—we welcome children and their families into our Small Wonders family. We prepare our students to excel at the next level not only in our four walls but for life. This preparation is done through love by teaching hard work, a strong sense of self, and life lessons that develop that character for the future.
We provide a warm and welcoming environment where your child can learn, grow, and thrive. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education for your little one.
If you have questions about the opportunities available in our programs, feel free to send us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
